Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Health has launched a new website

Showcasing the Center's continuous development, their communication team has developed a new website that has a more user-friendly design, improved accessibility, search optimisation, social media integration, and simple navigation to allow target audience to find exactly what they need.

A delegation from Karolinska Institutet visited Makerere University in Uganda

In February 2024, a delegation from Karolinska Institutet led by Vice President Martin Bergö visited Makerere University in Uganda, a long-term partner of Karolinska Institutet. Martin Bergö was genuinely impressed by the commitment and results arising from this collaboration.

Workshop at KI strengthens collaboration in the Centre of Excellence for Sustainable health

A 3-day workshop was held at the end of August at Karolinska Institutet (KI) with colleagues from KI and Makerere University, working together at the Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Health. The aim was to continue to develop the centre, to strengthen the collaboration and to meet the KI leadership. 

The team also met with Annika Östman Wernerson, KI:s president, Martin Bergö, Vice President and Erika Dabhilkar, Head of the Office of International Relations. 

Karolinska Institutet and Makerere University: the future of Uganda-Sweden Research Collaboration

A delegation from Karolinska Institute that is working together with Makerere University School of public Health visited the Embassy of Sweden in Uganda in May 2022. Dr. Rhoda Wanyenze from Makerere University and Dr. Tobias Alfven from the Karolinska Institutet had an interview to talk about the collaboration that was started as a result of 22 years of research cooperation between Uganda and Sweden with support from Sida.
