Multisectoral collaboration is seen as a prerequisite to reaching the 2030 Agenda, but how is it done in practice? Little guidance on this is available, although everybody talks about the importance of doing it. Join us in a global conversation where members of the SDGCap program share their experiences and results of working together to enable multisectoral collaboration in Uganda, Somalia and the Democratic Republic of Congo. 

 

Global Conversation on Sustainable Health: Navigating the Nexus of Climate Change, Air Quality Resilience, and Future Health Solutions

This Conversation explored the intricate interplay between climate change, air quality, and their impact on sustainable health.Valuable insights was gained from Professor Frances Sprei’s research on sustainable mobility choices, the Kampala Capital City Authority’s initiatives for sustainable air pollution solutions in Uganda, and Associate Professor Petter Ljungman’s expertise on the cardiovascular impacts of environmental exposures, particularly in low and middle-income countries. The discussion highlighted interdisciplinary challenges and stressed collaborative efforts for effective policy responses. This seminar was organised by the Centre and Wexsus – West Sweden Nexus for Sustainable Development. Our collaboration highlights the importance of a holistic approach to sustainable development issues, linking climate, environment, and health solutions.
